About
Our Story
Founded in 2023 by professional dancer and choreographer Morgana Byworth. Morgana's Dance Academy is a vibrant and welcoming space for young dancers to grow, create, and express themselves through movement. Located on the picturesque Roots Farm in Barkby Thorpe, the academy offers a full range of dance classes in all styles, catering to children and teens aged 2 to 18. With Morgana's professional experience and passion for the art of dance at the heart of every class, students are encouraged to build confidence, develop technique and have fun in a supportive and inspiring environment.
With a focus on technique, artistry, and expression, our classes are designed to enhance skills and bring out individual flair. We are committed to fostering a community of dancers who support and inspire each other.

Class Types
Pre-Primary Core
Pre-Primary core classes are on Saturday mornings 8:30am - 10:30am.
They focus on 4 styles within this time: Ballet, Tap, Modern and an introduction into stretching/acro.
Ages 2 - 4
Primary Core
Primary core classes are on Saturday mornings 10:45am - 1pm.
They focus on 4 styles within this time: Ballet, Modern, Tap and stretch.
Ages 4 - 7
Junior Core
Junior core classes are on Monday evenings 4pm - 7:30pm. Including a junior commercial class on a Tuesday evening (more details below)
They focus on a selection of styles. Ballet, Tap, Modern, Fitness/stretch and choreography classes.
Ages 7 - 9
Inter Core
Inter core classes are on Wednesday evenings 4pm - 8:45pm. Including a commercial class on Tuesday evening (more details below)
They focus on a selection of styles. Ballet, Pointe work, Fitness, Stretch and choreography.
Ages 9 - 12
Senior Core
Senior core classes are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tuesday 6pm - 9:30pm including a commercial class (more details below). Thursday 7:30pm-9:30pm.
They focus on all styles. Ballet, Modern, Fitness, Stretch, Commercial, Choreography, Pointe work.
Ages 12 - 18
Mini Acro
Welcome to Mini Acro! Designed for children aged 4-8, our Tuesday evening sessions from 4 - 5pm are all about learning new acro skills in fun and engaging environment. Join us as we help your little ones build confidence, coordination and creativity through exciting acrobatic activities!’s flip, jump, and tumble into a world of fun!
8 + Acro
Join us for Acro classes designed for ages 8 + every Tuesday evening from 5 - 6pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, build strength, and have fun in a supportive environment. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve, our instructors here to guide you every step of the way. Don’t miss out on the chance to flip, tumble, and soar with us!
Musical Theatre
Welcome to our Musical Theatre classes! Join us for our Mini Musical Theatre for ages 4-9, every day from 5-5:30pm, where young performers can explore their creativity and express themselves through the magic of theatre. For our older students aged 9 + we offer a Musical Theatre class from 4-5pm, designed to enhance their and confidence on stage. Preparing them for their future auditions.
Junior Commercial
Junior Commercial classes for ages 6 +, held every Tuesday from 6 - 7pm. This engaging program is included in our core pricing, offering young talents the opportunity to shine and develop their skills in commercial dance.
Inter/Senior Commercial
Inter/senior commercial classes are also included in their core pricing. Tuesday evenings 7:15-8:30pm, dancers can train with industry professionals and get an insight into the commercial dance world. This is for ages 9+.
Select Tap Class 9+
We hold select tap for our inter and senior dancers. This class is not compulsory for all and is for those who wish to continue their tap development for college. Split into two classes, Thursday evenings 5-6pm and 6-7pm.
Ages 9 - 18.
Competition Team
We currently have a competition team who travel across the country competing in dance competitions as a team. You have a chance to do solos, duets, trios and groups.
Dancers can apply to be a part of the team after 2 months training with us. You can begin these from the age of 3.
